Everyday
is a God given day, Everyday is a day that we can count is as a
privilege to be able to share Jesus in us with
someone…………anyone. We
are the vessels that God uses to touch a sick and dying world. He has chosen us, how awesome is
that? It is for this reason
that He has empowered us with strength and authority from on High. Authority over anything that
keeps God’s children from coming to Him. Every evil that lurks upon this
earth, is under our authority! Wow,
if we could truly grab a hold of this powerful truth and walk with such
authority, that it would cause the demons to tremble every time we open
our mouths and with every step we take!
As for me, it is my prayer, Oh, God every time I wake up in the
morning, and place my feet on the ground, may all hell tremble in fear
of the God that lives and walks and moves in me!!!
Today,
among some of my friends that were baptized, one whose name is
Adam………
I’ll
never forget the day I met Adam. He
was standing there on the sidewalk in front of the Blanchet House. I introduced myself to him by saying, “Hi, I’m Teri,
what’s your name?” Adam,
he said. Do you come here
often?, I asked. (I had not seen him before)” I try and volunteer
every day,” he said. I
soon realized, he was homeless and not just a volunteer that had come
down to help (like, me) He
was not like many that are down here, he was well groomed.
I
soon asked him about himself. What
do you do? I find out that
Adam is an artist. (There
seem to be many down here.) I see tattoos on his arm…..”did you draw
those?” “Yes I did he
said. We talked a little
bit more about his God given talent and what a beautiful job he does. I can’t stop looking into his
dark, dark brown eyes. Though
they sparkle, they are also filled with sadness. Adam shares with me how he is
looking for work, trying to get his life on track. Can I pray for you Adam? Adam raises his shoulders and
eyebrows at the same time…..”sure, okay, he says. I take Adams hands and pray for
his life, finding a job and getting closer to the knowledge of the love
of Jesus. When we are
finished praying, I tell him that Jesus cares about every thing about
him. I invite him to come
to church on Sunday………He does!
Not only does Adam come to church, he asks Jesus into his
heart!!!

For
You are good, for You are good, for You are good to me!! Oh, yes Lord, not only are you
unwaveringly good to me, but You my King are good to all of us!!
You
are Glorious, Glorious, my Glorious ONE and I love You like no other!
Today
Lord I am amazed at how you are working in Adam’s life……WOW! You have such a call on this young man’s life, it is
incredible! I see and feel
the anointing on him! Like
Nicky Cruz.
Lord,
I have seen this once lost, angry young man turn to mush in Your loving
hands. He weeps at Your
touch! Lord he claps and
doesn’t know why…….we know why don’t we Lord??? It is Your joy running through
him and the clapping is an outward manifestation of that joy….
hallelujah!!
Just
think if I hadn’t walked up to this young man as he stood on the
sidewalk…….just think………
Oh, Lord help me to walk up to more “Adams” as I see them
standing waiting for a touch from the Master.
Adam
is so hungry for You Lord. He
is reading, devouring books and listening to teachings on tapes that I
have given him. He now is
reaching out to the lost by giving them clothing and food. He helps me hand out Blessing
Bags and food to the homeless and poor down town, he boldly reaches out
and prays for people!!! ALL
of this from an ex gang banger!! Lord
You are the God of the impossible…..ALL things are possible with YOU,
ALL THINGS! I stand amazed
at You the Living God!
