About Us

At The Father’s Heart, we are dedicated to providing support, compassion, and hope to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Located in Clackamas County, our mission is to help people by offering essential services, resources, and a safe place to turn to when they need it most.

Founded in 1999, we continue to believe in the inherent dignity and worth of every person, regardless of history or circumstances. Our team is committed to meeting the immediate needs of those facing homelessness through meals, shelter, clothing, and access to healthcare. But we don’t stop there! We also provide long-term solutions, offering transitional housing and comprehensive supportive housing case management.

At TFH, we believe in the power of community and understand that every person’s journey is unique. Whether someone is in need of a warm meal, a shower, or a safe space to rest, we are here to walk alongside them. Through collaborative partnerships with local organizations, we work to connect individuals to the resources and opportunities they need to regain independence and stability.

Our doors are open to all, and we are honored to serve with kindness, respect, and unwavering support. We are more than just an agency, we are a community, committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives, restore their dignity, and find hope for a brighter future.

Our Loving Founder

Teri Gant (1948 - 2017), Founder

Driven by incredible compassion and a desire to share hope, Teri Gant founded The Father’s Heart Street Ministry in 1999. Teri wanted everyone she encountered to know that God sees them as valuable, beloved members of His family.

Teri had a special connection to those living on the streets—the forgotten, the invisible, and those feeling lost and alone. She viewed everyone she met through the eyes of Jesus, listened with His heart, and offered embrace and comfort with His unconditional love.
